By Car

Lumut jetty is an entry point to beautiful Pangkor Island Malaysia. If you are travel from Kuala Lumpur city of Malaysia by car the journey is approximately 270km and take around 4 hours. Take the North South Express Highway, starting at the Damansara toll plaza, heading toward Ipoh. After 3 hours drive journey you should exit at the the Bidor toll plaza where the toll charges are approximately RM17.60/car.

The journey from Bidor town Lumut jetty is approximately 110km. Remember to follow signboards on you left hand side that stating TELUK INTAN, SITIAWAN and PULAU PANGKOR. Take another 1 and half hours drive later, you will see attractive seaview at Lumut jetty. Find out more from Google Map. Just park you car nearby Lumut Jetty with a nominal fee of RM10 a day for overnight parking.

By Bus

The whole day there are busses available for the 5 hours journey to Lumut. AAs bus from Puduraya Bus Station, Kuala Lumpur leave almost every 15 minutes at daytime and in the evenings slightly less frequent. The most frequent services are by Transnasional, Sri Maju and Plusliner. Remember, there is NO need to get a bus first to Ipoh and change there. We have repots of scammers at Puduraya who try to lure you in this. The journey through and change bus there can then take anything up to 8 hours instead of the 4 to 5 hours normal.

Lumut is a small town, basically a one street town. On the main street, there are local shops, restaurants, banks, a few bars and some of the hotels. There is a small tourist market in the new ferry building. 
Noted: Tourist Information Centre which is located just across the road of the new ferry building next to the Pangkor Laut office.
